Erasmus

In your 3rd year, there may be opportunities to take part in the Erasmus exchange programme either for a semester or a year to universities in France, Germany or Spain.

Depending on your other subjects, Universities in other countries, such as Denmark or Poland may also be possible.

Living and studying in another European country enables you to acquire a better working knowledge of a foreign language, to become familiar with a different culture and to establish contacts abroad. It is an invaluable educational experience which widens both your personal and your academic horizons and helps you to become self-reliant. The skills and attitudes which you develop are likely to be valuable in your professional life and attractive to potential employers. Evidence from a European Commission survey and comments from former Dundee Erasmus students corroborate this. Language students and undergraduates studying European Studies are particularly encouraged to take part in an exchange.
