Dr Wojciech Ostrowski joined the CEPMLP in January 2010. Prior to his appointment at the Center, he was a teaching assistant at the School of International Relations, University of St Andrews where he taught International Relations, Comparative Politics and Foreign Policy Analysis (2007-2009). His publications include Politics and Oil in Kazakhstan (Routledge, 2010).

Dr Ostrowski earned a PhD in International Relations from St Andrews University in 2007. Previously he studied Political Science, History and International Relations at the University of Edinburgh (2003); University of Kent at Canterbury, London Centre of International Relations (2001) and Queen Mary, London (2000). In the years 2001-2002 he undertook internships at the Polish Embassy in Buenos Aires, Argentina and the Polish Permanent Mission to the United Nations in New York City. In 2004 he conducted fieldwork in Kazakhstan which was supported with a grant from the Committee for Central and Inner Asia at the Faculty of Oriental Studies in Cambridge, University of Cambridge.
