Daniel Johnston is a consultant and negotiator with over 25 year's experience - over 20 years in the international sector of the petroleum industry.

He has worked in 40 countries conducting field development feasibility studies, evaluating exploration potential of licenses and concessions, negotiating contracts, and providing expert testimony and advised numerous governments and national oil companies in Southeast Asia, the Former Soviet Union, Latin America, Africa and the Middle East.

Daniel is also Column Editor for the Petroleum Accounting and Financial Management Journal and member of the editorial advisory board of the Oil & Gas Law and Taxation Review Magazine and Global Energy Outlook.

The aim of this course is to provide students with advanced skills and understanding to carry out detailed and quantitative analysis of fiscal systems for petroleum, and to use this understanding to evaluate risk and provide a sound basis for economic decision-making.
