Research

Mr. Vitaliy Pogoretskyy is a Ukrainian advocate, who joined the Centre in September 2009 to pursue research in International Trade Law. Before joining the Centre, he worked at FratiniVergano European Lawyers, a Brussels-based law firm specialised in European Law and International Trade Law.

Vitaliy Pogoretskyy graduated in law from Yaroslav the Wise National Law Academy of Ukraine with distinction in 2005. In 2007 he obtained an LL.M. Degree in International Commercial Arbitration Law from Stockholm University (Stockholm, Sweden), and in 2009 a Masters Degree in International Law and Economics from the World Trade Institute (Bern, Switzerland), summa cum laude.

The research will aim to see how different Agreements of the World Trade Organisation (i.e., the GATT and the GATS) inter-relate and how the overlap between these Agreements, if exists, can be resolved.

Started : 14th September 2009 on a Full-time basis
