The Mining Agreements course, a one week workshop run by Paul Schlauch & Glen Ireland, is a professional development course for practitioners and others who want to understand mining agreements. It is also available as a course for credit for Masters' students, counting toward their degree.
The course explains the commercial and legal issues surrounding key agreements used within the mining industry to implement mining projects and transactions. It addresses the risks and challenges associated with mining activities from the perspective of various stakeholders, including: mining companies, host governments, financiers, metals traders, communities and NGOs.
