Welcome to CEPMLP's Mining Programme
CEPMLP's Mining Programme aims to enhance understanding and practice of law and policy on minerals resources' investment and development.
The Programme's research and teaching, guided by a sustainable development framework, covers international, transnational and national issues in mining regulation and policy.
The Mining Programme seeks to advance knowledge about mineral law and policy through:
- taught and research-based postgraduate studies (LLM, MBA or PhD);
- research and publications;
- advice and consultancy work, including professional training;
- seminars and conferences; and
- papers and articles for conferences and journals.
Law and policy in this subject can only be understood in context. Our approach is then interdisciplinary and addresses all aspects of mining operations: economic, financial, managerial, environmental and social.
Various activities of CEPMLP's Mining Programme are supported with funding through a partnership agreement between CEPMLP and Rio Tinto plc.
