CEPMLP plays host to MOLAR

The CEPMLP recently played host to a delegation from the Ministry of Land and Resources (MOLAR) of the People's Republic of China who visited Dundee to draw upon the CEPMLP's international experience of oil and gas regulation.

As China 's government has recently decreed that oil and gas exploration and production will be opened to private Chinese companies, MOLAR is faced with the task of designing for the first time systems to license, monitor and regulate private companies. Previously, oil and gas exploration had been restricted to state owned enterprises and foreign companies operating under Production Sharing Contracts.
