VolCodes - Online Voluntary Codes Research Forum
The online Voluntary Codes Research Forum is a listserve facilitating discussion about environmental, human rights, consumer, worker, corporate social responsibility, business ethics, and other voluntary initiatives, of interest to government, private sector, non-governmental officials, academics, and others. Although not limited to discussion of voluntary intiatives taking place in the extractive sector, nevertheless many of the postings are relevant to understanding the increasingly significant role that such initiatives are playing in the extractive sector. Explorations of the legal implications associated with use of voluntary initiatives are an often-discussed theme.
CSR - Corporate Social Responsibility & Standards Forum
The Corporate Social Responsibility and Standards Forum is a listserve facilitating discussion about the possible role of ISO standards in structuring and framing current activity pertaining to corporate social responsibility.
Participants to either of the the Forums receive occasional emails notifying them of recent research and upcoming conferences -- many of them of relevance to the extractive industry. The Forums have also been used to explore new ideas and to challenge conventional ideas. Participants can also post emails to other Forum members. There is no cost associated with registering to the two Forums.

The two Forums are facilitated by Dr. Kernaghan Webb, LL.B., LL.M., LL.D., Adjunct Professor to the Departments of Law and Public Administration at Carleton University, Ottawa, Canada, and Chief of Research with the Office of Consumer Affairs, Government of Canada.
