The kick-off meeting for the EPSRC/ DfID funded project on Decentralised off-grid electricity generation in developing countries was held on the 28th and 29th of October, 2009 at Dundee.
The meeting was attended by representatives of all consortium partners (UoD, UoM, Edinburgh Napier University, The Energy and Resources Institute and TERI University). The meeting discussed various aspects of the project - roles and responsibilities, work plan, project management, accounting and reporting requirements, fund use, publication and dissemination, demonstration, research impacts, etc. A steering committee was formed to oversee the management of the project and the committee will monitor the project regularly.
