 About the Centre for Clinical Innovatons  News

Established in 2001 as the Centre for Dental Innovations, now widened to the Centre for Clinical Innovations (CCI), CCI is a half way house between University Research and Industry applications of research and is based at the University of Dundee.

CCI's research aims centre on:

  • Identification of novel and effective solutions to improve oral health & health care
  • High quality research and development appropriate to modern health care
  • Effective dissemination and exploitation of findings

CCI delivers these aims through a combination of science-based PhD projects which may one day have the potential for clinical application and commercially supported research projects which meet the needs of Industry.

CCI is a Centre within the University, generating Intellectual Property (IP) and industry income for the provision of services which are re-invested in CCI Research. 

In collaboration with Research and Innovations Services (RIS), University of Dundee, CCI will research, design and identify appropriate routes to market for novel systems related to detecting, diagnosing, monitoring and treating disease for use in dentistry and medicine.
