Continuing Education
Continuing Education encompasses the Part-time MA Evening Degree programme and also a wide range of Courses for Adults. Lifelong learning is about making sure that everyone can acquire the knowledge and training they need at any point in their lifetimes, regardless of background, age or experience. That is why Continuing Education is committed to providing flexible learning opportunities within the local community through the Part-time MA Evening Degree programme and the non-credit bearing Courses for Adults programme.
Studying was, at least for me, the best way to meet people, stay active and get involved. I was able to explore many topics that I had always wanted to study but could not whilst I was working.
Our aim is to deliver learning opportunities which meet the needs and aspirations of learners, support progression, widen access and promote public engagement. We offer learners educational choices which best suit their situation at any given time, whether this is a credit rated module which counts towards a degree, or a short course which expands the knowledge base and broadens the mind.
All of our staff members are committed to providing a stimulating, supportive and friendly environment for our students to achieve their potential. Teaching focuses on small group, seminar-led teaching where students benefit from valuable classroom interaction and develop a real sense of community.
