Research

The College of Arts & Social Sciences brings together an enormous range of scholarly research, embracing seven Schools and eleven disciplines
The portfolio ranges from single subject (Law, Psychology, Accounting & Finance) to the strongly interdisciplinary (the Postgraduate School ), to those which are both multi-and interdisciplinary (Social and Environmental Sciences, Humanities, and Education, Social Work and Continuing Education).
Research in the College is extremely diverse in all respects:
- Robert Burns - Memory and Public Commemoration
- Fabio Sani awarded large ESRC grant (School of Psychology)
- Dundee Water Centre secures almost 445,000 euros for Lagoons project
- Geographies of missing people: processes, experiences, responses
- UN Watercourses Convention (UNWC) Global Initiative
As these examples suggest, some research is highly abstract some highly practical; much is done by individuals, but much is also done in teams, these being increasingly multi or inter-disciplinary in character.
