Welcome to the JobShop.  The vacancy database is updated on a daily basis, so please keep checking for new vacancies! 

Students commencing their studies in January 2013:  please note that you will not able to register for the JobShop until you have received your matriculation card and commenced your studies.

To register for the JobShop you need to come into the Careers Service and complete a registration form before signing up online.  If you are unable to come into the Careers Service to register, please email jobshop@dundee.ac.uk for assistance.

Please note: the majority of these vacancies have been entered directly by employers, and although we make every effort to ensure that the vacancy and content are appropriate, there may be occasions when this is not the case - if this happens please let us know.

Welcome. ProspectsNet is our online vacancy system for employers and providers wishing to advertise vacancies and postgraduate opportunities to students and graduates.

Use of the service is free and allows you to advertise:

• Graduate jobs and traineeships for final year students and recent graduates to University of Dundee students only or to students across the Scottish Shared Vacancies Service (Strathclyde, Aberdeen, Abertay, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Glasgow Caledonian, Heriot-Watt, Stirling, St Andrews and the University of the West of Scotland).
• Work experience opportunities including; internships, vacation jobs, gap or year out jobs.
• Part-time or casual work opportunities.
• Volunteering opportunities.
• Postgraduate funding opportunities

Once you register you will receive an email from ProspectNet confirming your login and password. You can then use the "Change Password" facility under "My Details" to choose your own password.

Please take the time to complete all fields to give your vacancy full search criteria to reach your target audience. When you submit your vacancy it will be reviewed by a member of Careers Service staff before being published. Register and upload your vacancies here.

Each University Careers Service reserves the right to refuse to advertise a vacancy without giving a reason, and may edit your information to ensure that it has maximum impact.

The Careers Service deals with private agencies or third parties representing employers only where:

• • An employer has commissioned the agency to act on its behalf and the agency states which employer it represents, provides information about, and selects only for the named employer;
• • The Careers Service is satisfied that such representation is clearly in the interests of students and of the University.

 Please note that:

• • The employer must be named in the vacancy entry and made available to the student/graduate;
• • Salary information should be provided and should not be commission based/have a commission element;
• • The only web link we will include will be to the employer's own site;
• • Should you wish to use our shared vacancies service the above principles are applied in all University Careers Services and only vacancies that comply will be released to our websites.

The same principles are applied to the many commercial organisations offering agency-type services on the Internet, and therefore, like commercial employment agencies, these do not normally receive publicity, have links on our website or participate in Careers Fairs or other Careers Service activities.

Some agencies have claimed, or hinted at having, an association with the University Careers Service. As a matter of principle we do not endorse or support any particular commercial agency.
