The answer is NO, you do not need to book a place at the Fairs, and entrance is FREE of Charge!

What happens at a recruitment fair?

A range of recruiting organisations and information providers will come to the fair to tell you about their vacancies. Recruiters are keen to meet you and you are keen to meet recruiters. so the fair allows this to happen with ease.

You will be able to talk to them first hand in a relaxed environment to ascertain if the kind of work they are offering is of interest to you. You can find out about working conditions, pay, hours, skills required and much more.

Preparation is the key

The Fair will be very busy with exhibitors, students and other interested people so being prepared will help you effectively network with recruiters and leave them with a positive and lasting impression.

• Prepare your CV and bring some copies with you
• Research the organisations who are coming
• Sign up for presentations that are happening on the day
• Think of some intelligent questions to ask
• Know what you are looking for (a recruiter may ask you what kind of work you are interested in) try to have formulated some thoughts
• Smart casual dress is fine.
• Have a pen and paper and note down the names of people on the stand so you can follow up personally later on.
