A guide to using this website
Navigating round this site
To help you navigate round our site we have used a consistent, high-level structure which is displayed on the left-hand-side of the page. No matter where you are in this site this will not change.
As our site is growing, and is likely to include lots of information, we have introduced a right-hand-side navigation tool. This aims to help you navigate more easily to the information that is important to you.
Accessibility
We want our information to be accessible to as many of our stakeholders as possible. The site aims to meet World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) AA-level standard. You can read more about these standards at the world wide web consortium website.
The University has an Accessibility Statement for it's website in general.
Restricted areas
In the spirit of the Freedom of Information Act 2002 we have made as much of our information as possible freely available on our site. There are certain instances where this is not possible.
If you find a page or document that you would like to submit an access request for please refer to the University's Publication Scheme.
Key to access restrictions
These restricted areas are protected using the University's intranet, called SOMIS. There are three levels of access that we can apply. We always try to use the least restrictive. These keys should always be displayed where there is a restriction.
Access restricted to Dundee users only (all staff and matriculated students using a University networked computer)
Access allowed to specific users (username and password required)
Requires login to SOMIS (can be accessed off-campus as well)
