Graduate Certificate in Digital Recordkeeping
This certificate is designed for those who are already qualified or have experience in a recordkeeping discipline, but are seeking to broaden their knowledge and expertise of e-records and the digital recordkeeping environment. This innovative educational programme delivered fully online for UK and international students will provide:
- an understanding of how digital records should be managed and retrieved.
- an understanding of the legal and ethical issues relating to digital preservation.
- a knowledge of the issues surrounding the preservation of records and in particular the proper use of metadata and other techniques to help ensure long-term survival of information and records.
To qualify for the certificate students must complete the following modules and earn 60 credits:
- Electronic Records Management
- Management and Preservation of Digital Records
- Metadata Standards and Information Taxonomies
The Certificate can be completed in 1 - 2.5 years. There are three entry points a year in January, May and September.
