Prior to completing his MSc in Economics on the Scottish Graduate Programme, Daniel graduated with first class honours in Economics from the University of Dundee. He was appointed as a Research Assistant on the Welfare, Wealth and Work for Europe project in 2012. Daniel also holds an ESRC PhD studentship which he is undertaking at the University.
Daniel’s research interests are applied econometrics, economic evaluation, subjective wellbeing, and the welfare effects of globalisation. His current PhD work aims to assess the effects of economic insecurity on health and wellbeing within developed economies, while his work on the Welfare, Wealth and Work for Europe project looks at the changing role of the welfare state within a globalised economy.
