In the Frankland Garden you have a:
to name but a few of the trees and shrubs.
There are benches to sit on. To the south there is a tranquil sunken garden with a large Eucalyptus gunnii tree planted with Phormiums, Thymus (thyme), Euonymus, Mahonia and Fuschia.
This secluded corner is located at the front of the Frankland Building with access from Small's Wynd.
The Geddes Quadrangle is away from the main thoroughfare where you can sit and relax on the number of benches provided or laze on the grass in the sun. The Geddes Quadrangle was revamped in 2002/2003 to create an all year round garden. There is always something of interest from flowers to foliage including: Viburnum, Magnolia, Wisteria, Lavander, Bamboo rustling in the wind, herbaceous and annual plants.
There are a number of rose beds:
The 90 Elizabeth of Glamis roses were planted for the Queen Mother's 90th Birthday. The Queen Mother was the first chancellor of the University of Dundee from 1967 to 1977.
The Geddes Quadrangle is located at the back of the Harris Building, by the Carnegie Building.
