The main aims of the department are to:
- secure the long-term preservation of the University collections
and selected institutional records
- promote the use of the collections to support the core institutional
aims of research, teaching and learning
- use the collections to support the promotion of the University
- develop effective records management and provide the University
with advice and guidance on records and information policy
and implementation
