Administrative/Biographical History
Henry Boase of Invergowrie was born in 1892. A descendant of Henry S. Boase, the Dundee jute manufacturer, he worked in the jute industry himself, dedicating much of his spare time to the study of ornithology. The result of part of his work was a set of unpublished reports on the birds of the Tay area. Henry Boase died in 1974.
