Background & Teaching

Cameron Wilson is a Teaching Fellow and has been based at Dundee School of Architecture, University of Dundee for over 10 years and is a registered chartered architect with the Architects Registration Board, the Royal Institute of British Architects and the Royal Incorporation of Architects in Scotland.

As Year 1 Course Leader, Cameron is responsible for studio programmes, lecture programmes and the development of the first year course in MArch. He is also responsible for administrating and assessing the Year 1 course. Cameron is an internal examiner across all years from Year 1 through to Year 5 and has taught at all levels within the school of architecture.

As Dundee School of Architecture student admissions co-ordinator, Cameron is in charge of candidate interviews and admissions to all levels of the MArch He is a member of the Validation Board for the Royal Institute of British Architects and has acts as Chair / Vice Chair for Visiting Boards responsible for validating courses of architecture for the RIBA. Cameron is also an External Examiner for the Architects Registration Board based in London.

Cameron is the ERASMUS and International Exchange Co-ordinator for architecture student exchange and currently involved in co-ordinating new articulation agreements with schools of architecture in China and Malaysia.

Following completion of his architectural studies in London, Cameron has previously worked in within private practices in London and has held senior positions in practices in Edinburgh. He was responsible for a variety of projects ranging from small scale residential and retail alterations, to multi-million pound housing, retail and leisure developments and urban redevelopment throughout the U.K. Cameron has also been involved with groups of artists / designers on exhibitions, community art projects and collaborative proposals for international architectural competitions.
