Research Degrees

Architecture at the University of Dundee offers the opportunity to pursue architecture research to MPhil or PhD in many areas under two main themes; Architecture and intellectual culture or Architecture and the environment.

Each research active member of staff has a specific research interest and expertise. You might want to use the links on the left to visit members of staff pages to familiarise yourself with the possible research opportunities we might have for you at Dundee. Your research interest does not have to fit perfectly with your supervisors. In fact, we are always looking out for new ideas that can add value to our research community, which we can still supervise.

You can get in touch with the Head of Postgraduate Research Studies for an informal chat about the research project you would like to pursue at Dundee (contact details on the right). You can also get in touch with any research active member of staff directly to discuss your proposal before you make a formal application.

If you are ready to apply, then you need to fill an online application using the online system we are using which is called UKPASS. Please visit this page for a full guide on how to make an application using UKPASS.

Please use the links on the left to visit pages on the University website that you might find useful in answering any questions you might have. We also prepared a list of frequently asked questions below that we hope you find useful.
