Year 2 visit to the Netherlands.

For one week in October 2010, 61 Year Two students set off with 3 staff for the Netherlands with a very busy itinerary to explore the cities of Amsterdam, Utrecht and Almere.

Each day was planned to offer a different architectural focus, and students were asked to analyse projects through use of their sketchbooks, while also carrying out a measured drawing task in the old town of Utrecht.

Professional guided tours were organised for a wide range of projects - the Weil Arets University Library and Rietveld-Schroder house in Utrecht, the new city master plan of Almere and one of its pivotal projects, the SANAA designed Kunstlinie theatre.
