KENGO KUMA 'The Answer is Architecture'

Kengo Kuma, lead architect for the new V&A at Dundee building

In this exclusive lecture, his first in Scotland, award-winning architect Kengo Kuma explored the role that architecture has in connecting people to their environment. He discussed how a well-designed building acts as an operating system for society and can mark a defining moment of civilisation.

Kengo kindly delivered his lecture twice, as demand for tickets was so high.   Both lectures were warmly received.   You can download an MP3 audio file of the lunchtime lecture here.

Kengo Kuma is the lead architect for the new V&A at Dundee building, which is set to transform Dundee and reconnect the city to the water. He is a Professor at the Graduate School of Architecture at the University of Tokyo and holds the prestigious Architectural Institute of Japan Award (1997).
