We aim to ensure that every student who comes to Dundee has the best education available. Significant investment in facilities and teaching resources, developing innovative new ways of e-learning, and pioneering flexible new learning programmes ensure that we are never complacent.

We are constantly striving to build on our achievements, which include:

• Being ranked 2nd in the UK for Civil Engineering and 4th in the UK for Medicine and Pharmacology by the Guardian University Guide 2012. They also ranked us 1st in Scotland for Civil Engineering, Pharmacology and Town & Regional Planning. In Architecture, Education, English, Law, Mathematics, Medicine and Philosophy we were ranked in the Top 3 in Scotland.
• The Times Good University Guide 2012 ranking us 1st in Scotland for Anatomy and Physiology and Biological Sciences and 2nd in Scotland for Architecture, Philosophy, Town and Regional Planning and for our Staff : Student ratio.
• The Complete University Guide 2012 ranking us 1st in Scotland for Anatomy & Physiology and Town & Regional Planning, and in the Top 3 in Scotland for Art & Design, Biological Sciences, Civil Engineering, Medicine and Philosophy.
• More than 90% of students being satisfied with the quality of their course in a large number of subject areas (14) in the National Student Survey 2011.
• Recognised for high teaching quality in the latest THE Student Experience Survey - 4th equal in UK for high quality staff lectures.
