We’re number one!
High-quality teaching, world-leading research, and a £200 million investment in a compact, friendly campus with an unrivalled position in the heart of the city centre - it's no wonder our students voted us number one in this year's Times Higher Education Student Experience Survey.
Nobel Prize winning poet and honorary graduate Seamus Heaney described the University of Dundee as "having its head in the clouds and its feet firmly on the ground", and this perfectly encapsulates our ability to be both aspirational and down-to-earth, to blend ground-breaking intellectual achievement with practical applications.
These are the attributes that have given the University its distinctive character and we are continually building on our position as one of the UK's top institutions for teaching and research across a broad range of disciplines.
Why not experience Dundee for yourself, and become part of the UK's happiest student community?
The Student Experience Survey gathered responses from undergraduates at 105 institutions. Dundee rated well across the board, and scored particularly high on questions of:
- Good central / convenient facilities (ranked 1st)
- Good accommodation (joint 2nd)
- Good students' union (3rd)
- High quality facilities (joint 3rd)
- Best social activities (joint 3rd)
- High quality staff lectures (4th)
