If you haven't used your My Dundee account before arriving, then we will issue you with a username and password when you matriculate.
You may also wish to join our online web chats to get an instant answer to any last minute questions you.
The Welcome Week website contains lots of useful information for you before you arrive, once your arrive, and as you start your course. You can also sign up for updates as the year progresses towards September.

DUSA is your Union. When you get your matriculation card you are automatically a member of the most exclusive club in Dundee. In Welcome Weeks there are loads of things happening all day every day - you can get a coffee and sit in the cafe bar or you can take part in pool tournaments with your new flatmates. At night you get access to brilliant live music from guest DJs to bands in our clubs and bars and you can finish the night off with some chips and cheese from 4Food. It really is the house of fun!!! Most Colleges & Schools are located on the city campus, with the exception of the clinical medical departments which are based at Ninewells Hospital & Medical School, and the School of Nursing & Midwifery which is based at Ninewells Hospital, the Medical School and in Kirkcaldy.

You'll need to know where, what & how -familiarise yourself and search online on the Library & Learning Centre website.
As well as providing a great learning space and resource, LLC staff develop and support e-Learning activities throughout the University, including the My Dundee Virtual Learning Environment (VLE), the University's online assessment systems and a range of additional e-Learning tools and techniques.

Learning in new fields is fun, challenging and exciting - even if you're continuing with a subject you studied at school or at college, you'll probably find that it is approached in a different way at university.
Our University is a leader in providing students with training in effective learning at university and so we can show you not only how to meet the standard required but also how to excel.
Our Academic Achievement Teaching Unit offer an extensive programme of learning opportunities - sometimes within Schools and sometimes with students in small groups or individually. At these times our Academic Skills Tutors work with you as you go through your academic journey. You'll find some useful information about events we offer in Welcome Week: 'Gateway to Learning' (for undergraduate students) and 'Principles of Postgraduateness' (for Postgraduate taught course and Doctoral students). For most people university is their first experience of living away from home, and it can be quite daunting. Don't worry, all kinds of help is at hand, co-ordinated by Student Services
The Frontline Support Worker is based on Level 4 in the Union at the heart of the main campus. This is the initial information point for those seeking advice and guidance on all sorts of matters, all their services are free and confidential.
For International Students, we have an International Student Adviser.
You can team up with a current student through the Peer Connections programme which includes welcoming, buddying and mentoring using experienced student volunteers called Peer Connectors to support students.
There is also a Student Counselling Service available.
