Cllr Will Dawson

Will Dawson is now Councillor for the East End Ward of Dundee, and Convenor of City Development for Dundee City Council. He attended the Access Summer School in 1983.

He says: "We were the first year to try Access Summer School in 1993. I remember it as a really good experience. It gave me an indication as to what university life would be like and what was required to a certain extent. I met some amazing people and still keep in touch with some of them to this day. It was really different from school and that was one of the things that I liked about it. You were treated as an adult experiencing new things and learning at the same time. I still use some of the skills gained from my time at the summer school in my current positions."
