Tomilola Akanle

Tomilola, from Nigeria, graduated with a PhD degree in international environmental law.

Her research is on climate change, specifically the Kyoto Protocol's clean development mechanism (CDM) and equitable distribution. The aim of the research is to determine how to ensure distributive justice in the CDM.

She is also currently a consultant with the Earth Negotiations Bulletin, for whom she attends and reports on various international environmental negotiations and meetings, and is also a thematic expert for their "climate-l.org" climate knowledgebase. Tomilola has done various internships, including with the Climate Change Convention Secretariat in Bonn, and the Foundation for International Environmental Law and Development in London.

She holds an LLB degree from the University of Lagos, Nigeria, and obtained her LLM degree from University College London. She is also a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria.
