Why did you choose to study at Dundee University?

Dundee University is well-known for its strength in the Life Sciences sector and it is home to world-leading scientific research. I wanted to be taught at one of the best universities for Life Sciences in the UK.

What are your immediate plans after graduation?

I will be pursuing a Masters of Research in Cancer Biology at Dundee University.

What are your longer term career plans?

PhD or medicine.

What information do you think applicants need to know before starting this course?

You will be given the flexibility to choose to study the various degrees within the Life Sciences.

What was the most enjoyable thing about your degree and why?

I had sufficient time for leisure as well as fulfilling all the requirements for my degree.

What was your best university experience and why?

The snow fight in front of the Union before Christmas. The whole school actually came together and we literally had a ball!

Did you take part in any student exchanges/work placements?

Yes. In the summer I was a research intern at the Wellcome Trust Centre for Gene Regulation and Expression.

Do you have any advice for potential new students?

If you want to get good work experience relating to Life Sciences to prepare you for the future (after graduating), this is the uni to go to.

How did you find settling into life in the UK?

The most uncomfortable part is getting used to the cold weather and wearing warm clothes (most of the time!). So pack those sweaters!
