Paul O'Mahoney from Dunfermline, Scotland, graduated in BEng in Mechanical Engineering in 2011.
The University has the best Students' Union and one of the best Mechanical Engineering departments in Scotland. The University also boasts extensive funding for all aspects of its courses, and has a growing reputation as one of the leading UK universities.
I would have to say that the staff in the Mechanical Engineering department make the course what it is. They are always on hand to help students with any problems they encounter throughout the course, and always have the students' best interests at heart.
The Mechanical Engineering department has been consistently ranked as one of the best in Scotland, and even the UK. It is a very dynamic and relevant course which is constantly moving ahead with the industries. The department invests in its students' futures, and always strives to offer state-of-the-art facilities and resources.
At the start of our course we were taken on a team-building exercise to Monikie Country Park. We went round various activities and problem-solving tasks all centered around team building. The whole day set up the foundations for team and group exercises that are vital for any engineer, and was also a lot of fun!
