Why did you choose to study at Dundee University?

The Centre for Energy, Petroleum, Mineral Law and Policy is a unique institution not only in the UK, but in the world, which get you exposed to the business not only from a legal perspective, but takes you inside of management, economics (a lot of economics), politics, technology...and this is much more than a lawyer can dream about :)

What are your immediate plans after graduation?

I am already employed with B.C. Toms and Co. Law office in Kyiv. This is a British-Ukrainian law firm which is one of the leading players in oil and gas law in Ukraine.

What are your longer term career plans (if any)?

To become a recognized specialist in energy law.

What was the most enjoyable thing about your degree and why?

This one-year program fully met my expectations. The people I met will remain my contacts for all of my life. I met people from all over the world, every country which burns oil and gas is represented there.

What was your best university experience and why?

The University library is fantastic - everything revolves around the students.

Do you have any advice for potential new students?

I truly recommend this institution for those who are in love with energy, have their own energy and are ready to exchange their energy with others. And Scotland is a truly great country. I love it.

How did you find settling into life in the UK?

UK appeared to be the country as it should be. No more no less. The police surprised me. We stayed with our friends nearby night clubs waiting for the rest, and the police approached us to give us more information about the place. This was unusual and positive!
