Okeimute sheyi Aziza, from Nigeria, graduated in 2011 with an MSc in International Oil and Gas Management.

Why did you choose to study at Dundee University?

I chose the University because of their history, in training, and bringing up renowned world class professionals.

What are your immediate plans after graduation?

I plan to set up an NGO, in Nigeria, with other Energy professionals and stakeholders in the oil industry to critically evaluate and strategize on oil and gas management issues in the Niger Delta region, with a view to profer ideas and solutions to some of the challenges faced.

What information do you think applicants need to know before starting this course?

Well, get ready to get a high quality, world class educational experience. In achieving that, you have to work hard and I tell you the sky is not even your limit.

What was the most enjoyable thing about your degree and why?

I was able to get a first class insight on energy issues and challenges around the world with competent tutors to direct me.

What was your best university experience and why?

The most interesting thing about the experience was that I met a lot of people from different cultures and backgrounds, and we were able to live together as a family and work together as a team.

What sports activities or clubs/societies (if any) were you involved with?

I played football - Dundee has got really nice football pitches.

How did you find settling into life in the UK?

Starting life in the UK is quite straightforward with a lot of good people willing to direct and assist you.
