Nart Daghestani from Jordan gained his undergraduate degree in Electronic and Electrical Engineering, and is now studying towards his PhD in Optoelectronics.
My name is Nart Daghestani and I am a student from Jordan. I did my undergraduate degree in Electronic and Electrical Engineering at the University of Dundee. The reason why I chose our department was the excellent course curriculum and the division's distinguished history, not to mention the good staff/student ratio.
Studying here turned out to be better than I imagined, the department really has a positive atmosphere, with friendly staff, and classmates who were both local and from all over the world, with whom I have since formed lasting friendships.
I decided to further my studies by undertaking a post-graduate course. Currently, I'm doing a PhD in Optoelectronics under the supervision of Dr. Edik Rafailov. The project is based on generating efficient THz radiation. The department has cutting edge research in numerous areas, which is always handy for getting expert advice, and keeping a broad aspect in science. Last but not least, the faculty has close links with industry which is central for taking the next step in my career.
I highly recommend studying at the division of Electronic Engineering & Physics, it has proven to be a truly remarkable experience.
