Moiz Valliani, from Muscat, Oman, graduated with a Bachelors in Accountancy (BAcc).
I chose to study at Dundee University as I wanted a quality education, and it was one of the leading institutions in the UK and was highly recommended. Since it was based in a small city, it made travelling and living easier.
After graduating, I intend to study further and look for jobs. I will finish my ACCA and CFA.
I found the tutors here were friendly, which helped me a lot with my degree, particularly the sessions we had with our advisor of studies.
I also enjoyed getting involved with different societies and playing cricket for the University team. During my first ever match, I turned out to be the highest scorer. The next thing I found out was that I was the highest scorer for the University for the season! This helped me to get a scholarship and I would definitely consider this as my best experience though it is not academic.
I was also involved with the international students society and peer connections.
Overall, Dundee is a great university. Prospective students should not worry about anything before coming into the university because the staff and the students (especially in the international students society and peer connections) help the new students so much that they feel they are back home with friends. Students live nearby to each other so you can make friends quickly and easily. All in all i would say study hard and enjoy!
