Moftah Mohammed

Moftah, from Libya, is studying for a PhD in Accounting.

I am a university teacher and an academic researcher, and chose to study at the University of Dundee because of its excellent academic reputation. Specifically, I am a PhD student, and was impressed by the excellent reputation of the academic staff who supervise the doctoral degrees in the Business School. This was the most important reason. Academic excellence here distinguishes it from study in some other universities.

My best learning experience to date has been taking part in seminars. These enable students to consolidate the information they have learnt, and also to get a feel for delivering and discussing new ideas in another language in an encouraging academic environment.

I have also found that many modern technologies are used in teaching here, and this helps to save time and effort.

I love the city of Dundee, and the student life in Dundee (shopping centers, social life places, landscapes, etc.), and I love the people of Dundee, they are very friendly and they are ready to help.
