Why did you choose to study at Dundee University?

Dundee is the perfect student city: City Centre, University Campus and the vibrant student-quarter "West End" are conveniently close to each other. What are your immediate plans after graduation?

Over the summer I am going to visit some friends I met in Dundee in their home countries.

What are your longer term career plans (if any)?

I have been accepted on the CEPMLP LLM programme and my aim is to work internationally as an Energy Lawyer.

What information do you think applicants need to know before starting this course?

Knowing your maths will help you a lot in this course. Do make use of the excellent extra curricular offerings, particularly the Careers Service and the Enterprise Gym.

What was the most enjoyable thing about your degree and why?

The flexibility of the course is great. You can choose widely in your first two years and then really focus on what interests you in your final years.

What sports activities or clubs/societies (if any) were you involved with?

Sailing, Clay Pidgeon Shooting, 5 a-side Football, The Enterprise Gym, Politics Society, Investment Club.

Did you taken part in any student exchanges/work placements?

In my 2nd year I did a 1 month Christmas placement at a local design and marketing agency.

After my 3rd year I did a 2 month summer placement at NCR.

Do you have any advice for potential new students?

Get involved! University is the best time to try out new things and Dundee has a lot to offer.

How did you find settling into life in the UK?

The Scottish are very welcoming and helpful, don't worry when you struggle with the local accent at first, you will soon get your head around it.

Dundee has a very diverse community, especially around the University. With a bit of looking you will soon find many familiar things here too.
