Haron Mwadulo

Haron, from Kenya, graduated in 2011 with an MSc in Energy Studies.

I first of all found about the University of Dundee by searching online, and was then impressed with the great and efficient enquiries and admission process.

Settling in to life here wasn't hard and the people were friendly. The weather was not as bad as I imagined. The Dundee churches/society welcomed us, showed us around and even welcomed us into their homes.

I've really enjoyed my time here, in particular, meeting people from different countries and hearing their divergent views - both lecturers and students. This really intrigued me as to how people's background affects they way they respond to circumstances and make decisions. I also had a great time at the CEPMLP annual party at the Hilton Dundee!

Before starting this course, applicants should be aware that although the course appears short it is intensive and requires good planning by the students in order to deliver all assignments on time. It's also advisable to read widely before settling on a topic to write on.

After graduation, I will return to work with the Kenya Revenue Authority. In the longer term, I hope to put what I have learnt into action, and my plans are to seek employment in an international organization or enter into a political leadership position in Kenya with the aim of improving the welfare of the poor in society.
