The selection and flexibility of modules offered by the Centre of Energy, Petroleum and Mineral Resources (CEPMLP) allow me to obtain my LLM degree with the added value of economy and finance knowledege.

It was also helpful to be surrounded by colleagues who mainly work in the oil & gas related fields to understand the valid concerns or lack thereof regarding climate change issues within the industry.
Having full support from students to establish 'Pray for Indonesia' fundraising events and a series of other fundraising events with the international students society have given me the chance to experience first hand that people, regardless their country of origin and background, can come together during a time of need.

Make a clear plan to have a balance between study and social life is a must. Observe and really seek out what you want to do in University and with your degree in the future so you can maximize involvement with relevant activities throughout your time in the universities (e.g Model United Nations club for future involvement in international organizations, media division (DUSA radio, TV & Magazine for future involvement in media industry, etc.)
Dundee has a large number of international students and a range of facilities which cater to their needs (halal shops, asian supermarket, religious facilities,etc.) which made it easier to settle in. It is necessary to understand all the legal requirements in order to prevent future issues. Special attention needs to be given to mails since majority of government related announcement of issues are conducted through post.
