Eddie Small graduated from the part-time MA in 2008, he has recently completed an MLitt

Undertaking the Part-time Degree course initially seems a bit daunting. As a fifty-something year old, with no formal education for thirty-odd years, I wondered if I should be here at all, but soon I regretted I hadn't done this much sooner.

Three things stand out for me about the evening courses:

firstly, meeting fellow students of all age groups who help motivate each other through their individual courses:
secondly, absorbing new-found knowledge with the considerable help of dedicated tutors; and,
thirdly, the genuine fulfillment derived from successfully completing the challenge of each module.

Since graduating from the part-time MA in 2008, Eddie is completing his MLitt in 2010. He would now like to study for his PhD.
