Dhira, from India, graduated in a MSc in Advanced Sustainability of the Built Environment in 2010.
"Having seen the University was top in Scotland for Architecture, I heard about the university from a Ceramic Engineer in the Netherlands who was invited to the University prior as a guest lecturer.
"I took the MSc course because the term 'sustainability' is at the peak of all agendas and has a deep relation with every part and parcel of Architecture.
"I really enjoyed being part of the University of Dundee. It has a world class reputation and is 3rd in the UK for Architecture. Dundee itself is a small cosmopolitan city but has lots going on: it is one of the most cost effective places to stay in the UK.
"I am now doing my thesis in Zero Carbon and Low energy Housing Development and also was awarded the certificate from the Cabinet Secretary for Finance and Sustainable Growth, John Swinney MSP, for the "Designing Places student award" organized by the Scottish Government. My degree has been very relevant to my work - I would like to help achieve sustainability in a real sense. thus contributing to save the environment."
