Bahiah Abdallah, from Lebanon, is currently studying for a PhD in the School of Nursing and Midwifery.
I'm currently a lecturer at the University of Balamand, and chose to study at the University of Dundee because of its reputation and the quality of education. My PhD is part-time, and it responds to my individual needs - it's student centred. Since starting here, I've found the supervisors and staff to be very friendly.
Being here is a unique and enriching experience. One of my best experiences so far has been being introduced to Dundee as a culture, to its people and to the city.
I settled in here without a problem - there is a very supportive environment, and an easy and friendly atmosphere, and so I adjusted quickly. There are different nationalities which make it a cosmopolitan city.
