Why did you choose to study at Dundee University?

I applied to Dundee University on the recommendation of my English teacher who did her Masters in Scotland.

What are your immediate plans after graduation?

After graduation, I am going to do a summer internship and then I am going to start my Masters programme, again in Scotland.

What are your longer term career plans (if any)?

Most probably, I will continue my academic career and do a Ph.D. on the subject in which I am interested.

What information do you think applicants need to know before starting this course?

Before starting a mathematics degree, a person must firstly decide what s/he wants to do in her/his future life since mathematics is a subject that you can specialize in just by having an undergraduate degree.

What was the most enjoyable thing about your degree and why?

Lecturers are ready to give advice and help with any problems relating to academic life. Moreover, some of the lecturers are so friendly and this makes me enjoy my lectures more.

Do you have any advice for potential new students?

I can say by heart that choosing the University of Dundee was my best decision ever. If students want to have a university life which is both good in academics and rich in joy, Dundee is one of the best options.

How did you find settling into life in the UK?

Before applying to Scotland, people said to me that Scotland is a cold country including the people living in it. But after living in Dundee for 4 years, I can faithfully say that they are wrong. Life in Scotland is cheaper than most UK places and Scotland overall is beautiful. It's always green and is one of the best places to live in the world.
