Ali Alzaed

Ali Alzaed, from Saudi Arabia, completed an MSc in Advanced Sustainability of the Built Environment in 2010.

"An institution that holds all the aces is in a very strong position".

And I realised this when I got admitted to the School of Architecture at Dundee University for my Master of Science in Advanced Sustainability of the Built Environment.

I was initially struggling to decide which university to choose in order to invest the scholarship my country had given to me to study the issue of Sustainable Architectural Development. In my research, I realized this course at Dundee University is 'on the crest of a wave', and covers the major issues dealing with sustainability. With no doubts in my mind, I embarked upon this course after a straightforward and easy admissions process.

I really enjoyed being part of the University of Dundee and the 26 speakers coming from different parts of the world stepped up my knowledge which has made a strong foundation base for my PhD.

The administrative staff were also extremely helpful - from the admissions process through to my graduation.

The support from the Dean, Mr. Graeme Hutton, Program Leader Dr. Husam Al Waer, and other professors help students to overcome any barriers they may face. I strongly recommend this course in Dundee University.
