Volunteers

• Are you an undergraduate or postgraduate at the University of Dundee?
• Would you like to enhance your CV & do something worthwhile at the same time?

If you answered 'yes' to the above, please read on ...

Student Volunteers ...

... give up one afternoon per semester on average, to accompany the Access Outreach Officer on Higher Education awareness raising activities in schools & on campus
... act as ambassadors for higher education
... aid the sessions by acting as facilitators, engaging with the pupils on the subject of university, different courses & student life, to name a few, and generally help enthuse the pupils about the benefits & gains that can be had by entering into a university career
... activities include: campus visits, finance talks, skills workshops
... all sessions are interactive in nature
... training and briefing on the activities is given prior to dealing with the pupils
... no experience is necessary but a commitment to widening participation is expected ...
