Gold for Dundee Sports Biomedicine Student

The winning team

Rebecca Ward, a third year Sports Biomedicine student at the University of Dundee, starts this semester with a gold medal from the women's hockey event at the Australian Youth Olympic Festival 2009. The British team beat the hosts 3-2 to retain their title from two years ago.

The Dean of the School of Life Sciences Learning & Teaching, Jim Elliott, said "Becky's superb achievement in almost simultaneously doing well in her two semester 1 third year modules and winning a gold medal in Sydney is very impressive, and a great example to current and future Sports Biomedicine students at Dundee."
