Why Dundee?
Come and join our student population and study for your undergraduate or postgraduate degree here in Scotland, at a university which has been rated as number one for student experience. We have many unique offerings available and are ranked as one of the top 200 institutions in the world.
We offer a very high standard of education, and career prospects for our graduates are amongst the best in the UK.
English Support Programme
We understand that moving overseas and living and studying in a country where a different language is spoken can be daunting. That's why we offer our English support programme, to help you to increase your confidence, skills and knowledge of English.
Classes are free and there is no formal assessment. Instead, our supportive tutors offer feedback on your progress throughout. Joining the programme is a great way to improve your English and to make new friends at the same time.
Life in Dundee
While at Dundee you can immerse yourself in Scottish culture (there's more to it than just tartan and shortbread!) and explore the scenic beauty of Scotland. Mountains, lochs and glens are all within easy reach, and the rest of the UK is also highly accessible, even without a car.

Student Societies
We have a thriving International Student Society which has members from over 100 countries world-wide. They organise trips and tours, arrange social events, and work in conjunction with our international support service to make sure your time at Dundee runs smoothly.
One of their most popular events is the Welcome Party, which gives you a taste of Scotland (with food such as haggis, neeps and tatties) and introduces you to some traditional Scottish entertainment, including Burns poetry, bagpipes and Scottish country dancing to the live ceilidh band.
Take a look at some photos from the 2011 welcome party.
The University's new Diplomats@Dundee society is also proving propular with our European students.
