The roots of the University go back to 1881 when University College, Dundee, was founded. In 2007, the University celebrated 40 years since it became independent after a 70 year relationship with the University of St Andrews.
The past decade has been a particularly exciting time of progress and change - since 1994 the University has more than doubled in size and in 2008 we completed a £200m campus redevelopment. This included:

Transatlantic Student Exchange (TSE) students come to study at Dundee for one semester or one academic year as part of an exchange agreement between the University of Dundee and the North American institution. This means that you do not have to pay the study abroad tuition fee to come to Dundee.
