Transatlantic Student Exchange at the University of Dundee

Overview

The roots of the University go back to 1881 when University College, Dundee, was founded. In 2007, the University celebrated 40 years since it became independent after a 70 year relationship with the University of St Andrews.

The past decade has been a particularly exciting time of progress and change - since 1994 the University has more than doubled in size and in 2008 we completed a £200m campus redevelopment. This included:

the construction of brand new energy efficient teaching buildings with the most advanced teaching technologies
fantastic new student accommodation in the heart of the campus
extension of the Institute of Sport and Exercise (ise) and the Main Library, and
the creation of the Campus Green, providing a beautiful space for students and staff to relax and enjoy campus life

We are now home to nearly 18,000 students, with approximately 15% coming from over 80 different countries. The University of Dundee enjoys an unrivalled position in the centre of Dundee, close to the shops, theatre and transport links, and with outstanding views over the River Tay.

Institutions

Transatlantic Student Exchange (TSE) students come to study at Dundee for one semester or one academic year as part of an exchange agreement between the University of Dundee and the North American institution. This means that you do not have to pay the study abroad tuition fee to come to Dundee.
