The University of Dundee was founded in 1881 as a university college, and for 70 years is was a constituent college of the University of St Andrews. The University of Dundee received its Royal Charter, granting full independent status, in 1967. We are a traditional Scottish University, research-led with excellent standards of teaching.
Two thirds of our academic schools have received Excellent or Highly Satisfactory teaching quality assessment ratings from the UK government funding authoring.

We have over 12,000 full and part time students, and around 15% of our students come from over 80 different countries. Two thirds of our students population are Scottish, making the Study Abroad experience a real blend of the local and international.

Some of our courses have pre-requisites - your eligibility will be determined on the basis of transcripts provided. For Art & Design courses, we will need to see a portfolio.
American Students: the required GPA for entry is normally 3.0 on a 4-point scale.
