The information on this page relates to international applicants & students.
Immigration Information for International Students who are unconditionally accepted to the University of Dundee
This information is designed to give you guidance when applying for a Tier 4 Student General Visa or a Student Visitor Visa, please read it carefully.
Due to regular changes to Immigration policies we also strongly recommend that you visit the UKBA Studying in the UK website
, which is the definitive source of information regarding UK immigration.
Remember, you must:
- obtain an appropriate visa for the duration of your programme(s), if you are unsure about your visa requirements, please contact your nearest British Embassy/High Commission/Entry Clearance Office
- apply for your visa 3 months before your course start date, if you delay in applying for your visa you are jeopardising obtaining a visa in time to start your course of studies - you are advised not to buy your travel tickets until you have obtained a visa
- apply for an Academic Technology Approval Scheme (ATAS) Certificate if this is a requirement of your course (some postgraduate/PhD courses only). Visit ATAS information for more details.
